Breastfeeding Support Services Available

1

Breastfeeding Class - Learn all you can before Birth

Prenatal breastfeeding class with your family and support people is so empowering! Knowing what is normal and asking questions before birth can help avoid problems or keep them minimal. Learning about breast changes during pregnancy and the early days and weeks, how to help your baby latch well and suckle with no pain, what to know about milk supply, how to tell baby is transferring well and growing as expected, when and how to express your milk and when to reach out with questions and concerns are a few of the basics of getting started and finding your way with your breastfeeding journey together.
2

Schedule A Consult - Get to know your IBCLC

Your Lactation Consultant is part of your support team! Let her get to know you and your family when you meet. Every pregnancy is different as is each breastfeeding relationship. Even experienced breastfeeding moms may need support with a new baby or during their breastfeeding journey. (I know from personal and client experience). Keep small concerns small by reaching out right away.
3

In-Home Consults

This can be one or more visits in the privacy of your home, perhaps starting with a family breastfeeding class and/or latch assessment and observed feeding in the first few days and weeks. Milk expression and pumping options are available to discuss and decide on as are feeding other than at the breast.
4

Virtual Consults

Telehealth is another way to have access to professional care initially or for follow ups in a safe and private location for you and your baby.

Pumping Support To
Meet Your Goals And Needs

Exclusive Pumping

Some moms make this choice or it may be the only way they can offer their milk to their baby temporarily or for an extended period of time in a variety of situations. It is possible! I will assist and support your choices and options.

Working and Breastfeeding

Whether you are back to work at 6 weeks or 6 months postpartum, full or part-time, working from home, or running your own business, there are options when continuing to feed your baby your milk and ways to protect your supply. We will explore and personalize your specific needs including how to best express your milk and make pumping easier. No sugar-coating, it's work to provide milk for your baby when separated. We'll develop a plan together and assess closely.

What if my Baby is in the NICU?

One of the things you can do if separated from your baby is to pump your milk. I will help you with your choices with knowledge, experience and compassion, you can do this!

milk expression options

Ever wonder how milk was removed from a breast before electric pumps? There were suction options and other interesting designs. Hand expression is one of the gentlest and most effective ways to have milk for your baby other than at the breast. This is a valuable skill I assist all moms in learning and understanding the options.

Recommended Nutritional Options.

Prenatal

I remember getting serious about what I was eating and not eating when I planned my first pregnancy. Many moms-to-be are not aware they are pregnant for a month or two and having the right prenatal supplements daily ensures nutrients are available when needed.

1st Trimester

This is a very unique time and so much is changing. Most moms-to-be want easy to take supplements that are safe, proven and the finest quality. Drinks and chewables for all stages!

2nd Trimester

More personalized nutrition as you need it! Deciding on other products in the home may be a consideration. There are safe options for your family and the planet.

4th Trimester

Nutritional support for moving into postpartum recovery, lactation, and parenting. Excellent nutritional support assists this amazing season of life.

3rd Trimester

Almost time and hydration is important! If you are thinking about products for the body and home, I have a cleaning caddy to loan you when that nesting instinct may begin.

Safe Family - Safe Home

Non-toxic cleaners, laundry and body care for all ages. Ask about a no obligation skin care hour or borrow a cleaning caddy.

Final thoughts for this page….In no way does your interest in the products recommended have any bearing on my lactation support. They are separate and my consultations for the non-toxic home, skin care and nutritional products are free and another income source for  my family and I.

I offer them here to increase awareness for a company that I am grateful I was introduced to when I was starting my family over 35 years ago. Turns out our family of 7 only needed our amazing pediatrician for well checks and we stuck to our wellness commitment when finances got tight with outstanding results. RARE sick doctor visits or medications needed, no scary phone calls to pick up a sick child, and we got to play full out with such vitality at the fun learning and activities we had joyfully signed up for.

You Only Get Once Chance To Grow.

At your service.

Blessings to you and yours…
