Life Kit from NPR had a great podcast March 5th I wanted to share. Listen to the full 15 minutes here.
Start small, practice short trips.
Make plans your future self will thank you for. Learn your child’s temperament and make decisions around their needs such as shorter flights and what help you might need.
Travel light. Pre-pack and think about what will be available where you are going to purchase there instead of carrying everything.
Your baby is still a baby. They make friends everywhere and you will experience the wonder of the world through their eyes.
It’s not all about the baby. Plan important you time and enjoy your trip. Plan special meals for you around when it is easiest to manage your baby, perhaps lunches instead of dinners.
Expectations. Be clear on what you are hoping for and take time to feel the joys you experience. We tend to remember more of the challenges so really notice and enjoy all the good stuff too!
Safe travels!
